Meet José Navarro from "Los Mellis Suenan" and Patio TGF

One of our most creative companions is undoubtedly José Navarro Amado. In addition to being the logistics manager of PATIO Top Garden Furniture also takes time to cultivate his facet of musician and artist.

​We did a little interview for him today so we can all learn more about him. Read on if you want to get to know one of our team members with more talent and art.

PATIO: Good afternoon José. Who are the local band "Los Mellis Suenan"?

JOSÉ NAVARRO: Very good afternoon. "The mellis sound" is composed by my twin brother Álvaro on the Spanish guitar and I play the violin. Since childhood, we have been in contact with music studying solfeo and musical performance.

We have performed with several flamenco and verdial bands all over the Costa del Sol and the province of Málaga. One good day a little more than 3 years ago my brother and I decided to embark on this solo project and the truth is that we can not complain about the welcome.

PATIO: How would you define your music?

JOSÉ NAVARRO: Although we drink from various styles, we could say that it is an instrumental fusion between flamenco and electronic music. Some media have classified us as "Electronic Flamenco"Paragraph. Haz clic aquí para editar.

PATIO: How became the idea of mixing violin with electric guitar?

JOSÉ NAVARRO: We had been playing classical guitar for several years at the Peña Flamenca in Estepona. One day it occurred to me to innovate by adding some violin parts and from there we liked the concept.

PATIO: Wich are your favourite themes to play live?

JOSÉ NAVARRO: Apart from our own themes, I have a special predilection for our versions of Paco de Lucía. In our version of "Como el agua," we recorded it entirely in our Estepona, garden of the Costa del Sol and was very good.

We also like to add parts of movie soundtracks like "Pirates of the Caribbean" or "Game of Thrones". That always look great.

PATIO: You are very active on social networks thanks to your videos. As you said before you have recorded songs in Estepona mostly but also in Manilva, Casares, Sotogrande... How do you choose the songs?

JOSÉ NAVARRO:My brother and I are in charge of both recording the music and editing the videos. When choosing the locations we try to make them new areas of Estepona to promote our born place, but as you say we have recorded throughout the whole Costa del Sol.

PATIO: En 2018 ganaste el prestigioso certamen "Estepona Crea" . ¿Cómo recuerdas la experiencia? ​

JOSÉ NAVARRO It was a very nice experience, and the prize did not expect it. My inspiration was a man who goes running through life, who no matter how much he runs doesn’t give him time to get what he wants. But he keeps running, and he doesn’t stop running even if he’s tired. Looking at the sculpture, you could abstractly imagine the silhouette of a man running.

Patio: When did you start to work in PATIO TGF?

JOSÉ NAVARRO:For more than 5 years. It is a pride to lead the delivery team of a leading garden furniture company. Here it is very satisfying to develop any project of exterior decoration, either a small terrace or a large garden.

PATIO: What do you like most about your work?

JOSÉ NAVARRO: Customer satisfaction is our goal. The face of joy that is put on a customer when we have finished installing an eccentric parasol of 350 cms and we open it, making a day of the summer sun.

PATIO: As head of deliveries, what are the main delivery areas in PATIO ?

JOSÉ NAVARRO We have many projects covering the entire Costa del Sol, from Málaga to Sotogrande and Cadiz. Thanks to the development that we are doing in the omnichannel sale are also more frequent shipments to the whole peninsula and even to countries like UK, Germany, Congo... At PATIO we have the experience and logistical ability to deliver any product anywhere in the world.

Which PATIO collection do you prefer the most and why?

JOSÉ NAVARRO: In PATIO it is difficult to opt for a specific collection given the variety and extent of its catalogue.
