New project of PATIO parasols in THE ISLAND, Estepona

Being able to enjoy the summer in La Costa del Sol is a privilege for all residents and visitors of our area. The days are longer and you want to spend more time in the garden, on the beach or in the pool,  resting, with family or friends.

The Sun is an inexhaustible source of vitamin D,  which is produced in the skin from the ultraviolet radiation of sunlight. But it can also be very harmful if we expose ourselves to the sun without taking precautions.

Aware of the importance of having good shade in the summer season, users of the luxury urbanization "The Island" in Estepona asked us for advice to renovate the parasols of their swimming pools and gardens.

Keep reading if you want to know more about the project developed by the PATIO team to provide shade to the common spaces of this luxury urbanization. 

1. Contact.

The community of owners of "The Island" contacted us for advice to install umbrellas for their pool hammocks. They needed to be resistant to the wind but at the same time integrate aesthetically with the modern and contemporary set of the buildings.

Being an complex with high-quality standards, they needed sunshades that used components and materials to ensure continued use throughout the year.

2. Visiting the complex.

The next day, a team of decorators from PATIO came to the community facilities to take measures and develop a personalized project for "The Island".

We were able to see first-hand the characteristics of the environment, the exposure to the wind and the orientation of the whole to detect the real needs of each outdoor space, as well as the aesthetic integration with the rest of the elements.

3. Project presentation.

After the report of our decorators, we proceeded to elaborate on the project for the urbanization "The Island". The BALI eccentric parasols from our supplier NS-INTERNATIONAL were the ones proposed for their strength, versatility and design.

​For the main area of the resort, composed by an Infinity pool of 50 meters with sun loungers around, we suggest the installation of BALI parasols in white color of 3 meters in diameter.

 These parasols provide a shady surface of almost 6m² so they are ideal for covering four pool hammocks (two on each side of the parasol).  BALI parasols are adjustable and reclining so they are also suitable for any time of the day.

"The Island" also has an area of sunbeds, on an upper level above the main pool. For this area we proposed the use of 3-meter BALI square umbrellas with 140 kgs of sand refillable base.  These large format parasols cover a lot of space (9m²) and as they have wheels they can move easily. 

4. Acceptance of the budget.

In PATIO we have special conditions for facilities, communities of owners and restaurants, so the acceptance of the budget was quick and we immediately started with logistics.

5. Installation of the project.

Having permanent stock of parasols in our warehouses, the next day our delivery teams were already in the urbanization to proceed with the assembly and installation of all the elements. Taking care of every detail to make everything perfect.

Finally, we remove their old outdoor furniture to take it to a recycling point to proceed to its correct environmental management.
