Enjoy your outdoor space with your pets.

With the arrival of good weather we want more than ever to enjoy our outdoor space. We make the most of our hours in our gardens and outdoor terraces, either alone, with friends or with family. And, of course , we can't forget to  mention our pets.

Our dogs or cats have the right to have their spaces not only inside the house, but also outside the home. Having the opportunity to go outdoors in a safe environment is good for our four-legged friend although it is convenient to consider some aspects relating to your safety.

Read on for tips on how to make the most of your outdoor space with your pets.

Take advantage of the shades.

To enjoy with total security of our garden, terrace, roof or porch, it is essential to have a good shade. Like us, our pets are not immune to heat or UV rays, especially in the summer months.

It is essential that our outer space provides us with a good shade when the sun tightens. The BALI adjustable parasols are highly recommended for their high weight canvas and because they are adjustable according to the time of day.

Be careful with plants and flowers.

Our pets can eat natural plants in our garden or terrace.

Having plants in our outdoor area give us freshness and joy.  It also allows us to give that special and natural decorative touch that every outdoor area deserves to have.

However we must be careful because not all plants are suitable for animals: azaleas, aloe vera, hydrangeas or daffodils can be very harmful if ingested by our pets.

If you want to avoid risks we recommend that you decorate your outdoor space with artificial plants. They are as beautiful as the natural ones and have little maintenance. And best of all: you will avoid more than a scare to your pet.

Avoid natural fibers in your high end outdoor furniture.

Garden furniture made from natural fibres such as rattan, marrow or wicker is very beautiful but not suitable for any outdoor space. 

These materials are not only very sensitive to sunlight and moisture, but they are also ideal for our pets to sharpen their teeth and nails as if there were no tomorrow.

​Synthetic fibers like Viro or Sunloop are just as aesthetic as natural fibers and also have the advantage that they are much more durable and easy to maintain.  To be able to clean them regularly you will avoid that they are impregnated of the smells of your pets and so your furniture will remain intact.

Use washable outdoor fabrics.

Washable cushions are ver easy to keep them clean.

Let’s face it: our dogs and cats are the masters of our outdoor space and therefore have the right to choose the most comfortable places. Outdoor sofas, sun loungers, daybeds... the best places in the garden are reserved for them, whether we are there or not.

It is convenient that the cushions and upholstery of our outdoor furniture are washable and quick dry, so we can clean them regularly. 

Materials such as porotex are ideal for our pets because they can be cleaned with a direct stream of water and also have an anti-mite and antibacterial treatment.

Keep spare parts on hand (just in case).

We love our pets madly, but sometimes accidents happens. Even on our terrace or garden. It wouldn’t be the first time a cushion is torn, a glass is chipped or an outdoor lamp is dropped. And we have no idea who the culprit might be.
